WordPress analytics plugin

Analytics for WordPress, in one plugin

The Sonar WordPress plugin adds cookie-free analytics to your site in minutes, and links Gravity Forms enquiries and WooCommerce orders to the visits behind them.

Free on 1 website. Pro £49 a month, with a 14-day free trial.

Sonar's WordPress plugin adds website analytics to your site in a few minutes, without cookies. Install it, paste your Site Key, and Sonar starts counting visitors, sources and conversions. It also sends Gravity Forms enquiries and WooCommerce orders to Sonar, linked to the visits they came from, so you can see what brought each lead or sale.

What the plugin does

  • Adds the tracking code to every page, and keeps working when you change themes.
  • Ignores your own visits. Logged-in administrators and editors aren't counted.
  • Sends Gravity Forms enquiries, optionally with the field values, each linked to its visit.
  • Sends WooCommerce events: baskets, checkouts and paid orders with their value.
  • Sets no cookies. The Sonar script doesn't store anything in visitors' browsers.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Sonar plugin free?

Yes. The plugin is free, and so is Sonar's Starter plan for 1 website and up to 10,000 visits a month. Pro is £49 a month, with a 14-day free trial.

Will it slow my site down?

No. The tracking script is about 4 KB compressed and loads asynchronously, so it doesn't hold up your pages.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. With plugin version 2.2 or later, baskets, checkouts and paid orders with their value are sent to Sonar, linked to the visits behind them.

Does it work with Gravity Forms?

Yes. With plugin version 2.1 or later, each Gravity Forms enquiry is sent to Sonar and linked to its visit. You can choose whether to include the field values.

Do I need a cookie banner for it?

Sonar sets no cookies, so it won't be the reason you need one. Whether your site needs a banner depends on the other plugins and scripts it runs.

Does it work with caching plugins?

Yes. Clear your cache after installing, with WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache or similar, so the tracking code appears on cached pages.
